Finally.............

I am finally ALL caught up! Now I can start posting "recent" things. We have been having so much fun! I have lots to post so check back each day! There will be a new post every day!

All I Want for Christmas............

This is the first Christmas that we have ever been at our house on Christmas morning and hopefully the last in "this" house since we have it for sale :)! Mama and Chuck's parents came to spend the night with us and see Thomas open all his presents.

Thomas was getting his cookies and milk all ready for Santa. My mama brought these red velvet cake cookies for his Santa cookies. They are delish! Santa had a real treat! He also left chocolate milk! Hope Santa was ready for a MAJOR sugar rush! Once he placed everything just so, he had to check and make sure the milk was still in there! lol
Santa came after all! Apparently Thomas was a pretty good boy this year!

Sleepy Thomas coming in to see if Santa had been! This year all he asked for was a motorcycle! Hmm. Not really what "Santa" had in mind this year. But what to do! Over and over he would say that Santa was going to bring a motorcycle.
His guitar was one of his favorite things. Oh how this boy loves some musical instruments! Singing us a tune on Christmas morning!
Chuck, aggravating me, kept telling Thomas that mommy wouldn't let him get a new boat for Christmas. So.......he did get a new boat. Maybe not really the one he wanted but a new boat indeed.
After we opened all of our presents, Chuck looked out on the porch and low and behold Santa had left this outside. A new 4-wheeler! He was sooo excited! Santa sure outdid himself this year!
We all got showers and mid-morning Chuck's sister, our brother-in-law and niece and nephew came over to open presents and have lunch. I just loved the expression on Thomas' face in this picture. So cute! After lunch we headed to Columbia to have Christmas with my family. My grandmother's brother and his family came over for a little while. This picture is soo special! This is the last time that we got to see him alive. He died about a week later! He was probably one of the sweetest men I have every known! We played dirty Santa and ate Chili! The "big" kids shot fireworks and we just sat around and enjoyed each other!

Happy Birthday GiGi!

My grandmother's birthday is Christmas day! She was 88 years old this year! I love this woman sooo very much! She is my heart! I make a cake for her every year! A couple of years ago I put 80 something candles on it and the flame was unbelievable!
Happy Birthday GiGi! We wish you many, many more! We love you so much!

Merry Christmas Arden!

Thomas giving Arden her presents from him!

Everyone knows he LOVES clothes! He was so excited about his jacket and to this day when he puts he it he says "Ardey bought that for me!"

Thomas got her a doll!

Look how much taller she is than he is! He looks like a little runt next to her.

Too cute!

Happy New Year 2010!

I know this picture is out of focus but it was just too cute not to post. Mama keeps Thomas for us every New Year so that Chuck and I can go out and do something. I have been on-call the past two New Year's so we keep it pretty low key. We went over to some friend's house and just hung out! Thomas, of course, had a blast with his Gran!

Monster Truck Show

We took Thomas to see the Monster Trucks when they were in town. We didn't know how he would react because it is REALLY loud and he is very funny about loud things but he loved it!

He had on shooter's earmuffs and earplugs! His face looks so chunky in this picture!

Is it Broken?

One Saturday night Chuck and I had a banquet to go to so my mama kept Thomas for us. While we were gone, Thomas decided to act like Super Man and jump off the couch (let me interject by saying we have gotten on to him a thousand times for doing just that). Mama was getting the bed ready in the other room and heard him screaming with his foot. When we got home mama told us what he had done and that he wouldn't put ANY weight on it. We woke him up out of a dead sleep and he still wouldn't and screamed with his foot. So, Sunday morning we called the Dr. to see what they thought. There was no swelling or bruising that we could tell to his foot. We wrapped it with an ace and decided to wait to take him in on Monday. He still wouldn't put weight on it Monday, so to the Dr. we headed. She sent us for X-rays! The Radiologist read them as normal and we headed home thinking in a day or two he would be fine. A week later he still in favoring that foot and limping pretty bad. Called the Dr. again and she sent us back for X-rays. This time the X-rays showed and small fracture on the top of his foot. We were then sent to see an Orthopedic Dr. and left his office with a GREEN cast!

God is Great! God is Good!

While GiGi was visiting, Thomas had to move his chair at the table so that he could sit right beside her! Too sweet! Take a close look at Thomas, that little stinker has his eyes open and looking at me while GiGi was saying the Blessing!

This picture is worth a thousand words. I just love the look on both of their faces! They adore each other!

Snow in Alabama!!!!!!!!!!! (Beware: Lots of Pics)

Our friends walked over to play in the snow with us! Hudson and Thomas had so much fun getting pulled around on our make-shift sled (a plastic box top)! They had a blast!

Hudson wasn't so sure of the snow to start with but soon warmed up (well not literally) and had fun with Thomas!

Look at them go! We each took turns pulling them around the yard in the snow! We even had a few crashes! lol

I was so glad to get to play in the snow with my grandma! She was up visiting us for the week! She is a picture making queen and wanted her picture with Mr. Snowman!

This is supposed to be the snowman's head! Thomas was in charge of making the ball of snow for his head!

Man this is hard work! He kept saying "I can't do it!"

Look at that sweet face!

Man I love this woman!

Snowball in the face!!!!!!!!!!!

Cutie Patootie!

I have become quite the slacker again when it comes to blogging. I love doing it but making myself do it are two different things. So much has been going on so I'm going to try and catch up slowly! This is one of the pictures I took of Thomas for Valentines! I have wanted to do this type of picture with the big sucker every year but always forgot to get the sucker until it was too late. I almost waited too late again. This was one of the only ones left that wasn't broken. He is such a mess! I could just eat him up! Enjoy the picture and check back soon! Hope to have more up in the next day or two.
