This is the first Christmas that we have ever been at our house on Christmas morning and hopefully the last in "this" house since we have it for sale :)! Mama and Chuck's parents came to spend the night with us and see Thomas open all his presents.
Thomas was getting his cookies and milk all ready for Santa. My mama brought these red velvet cake cookies for his Santa cookies. They are delish! Santa had a real treat! He also left chocolate milk! Hope Santa was ready for a MAJOR sugar rush! Once he placed everything just so, he had to check and make sure the milk was still in there! lol
Santa came after all! Apparently Thomas was a pretty good boy this year!
Sleepy Thomas coming in to see if Santa had been! This year all he asked for was a motorcycle! Hmm. Not really what "Santa" had in mind this year. But what to do! Over and over he would say that Santa was going to bring a motorcycle.
His guitar was one of his favorite things. Oh how this boy loves some musical instruments! Singing us a tune on Christmas morning!
Chuck, aggravating me, kept telling Thomas that mommy wouldn't let him get a new boat for Christmas. So.......he did get a new boat. Maybe not really the one he wanted but a new boat indeed.
After we opened all of our presents, Chuck looked out on the porch and low and behold Santa had left this outside. A new 4-wheeler! He was sooo excited! Santa sure outdid himself this year!
We all got showers and mid-morning Chuck's sister, our brother-in-law and niece and nephew came over to open presents and have lunch. I just loved the expression on Thomas' face in this picture. So cute! After lunch we headed to Columbia to have Christmas with my family. My grandmother's brother and his family came over for a little while. This picture is soo special! This is the last time that we got to see him alive. He died about a week later! He was probably one of the sweetest men I have every known! We played dirty Santa and ate Chili! The "big" kids shot fireworks and we just sat around and enjoyed each other!
